Second opinion: If you are having significant pain and need extractions, you should be able to find a dentist who can treat you in a reasonable amount of time, no 2 months.

Contact Dentist: Were you in pain when you originally saw the dentist who set this appointment? If not, have you contacted them to let them know of your current condition? If they already know that you are in pain and have not wanted to see you much sooner, then you need to see another dentist or oral surgeon who can see you asap. After all, it is your mouth and you should not be in long term pain.

Another dentist: There are plenty of highly skilled oral surgeons around. Ask for another referral either from your current general dentist, or perhaps friends, family, co-workers or another health care professional who you use. We always see emergency patients within a day or two at most, as do the oral surgeons we refer to when necessary.
