Not usually: Most wisdom teeth are removed without intubation. Patients are often sedated for wisdom teeth extractions, but this does not usually require intubation. You can breath through your nose, just like when your mouth is closed, or you can breath through your mouth, just like when you have other dental work done. Consult with your dentist or surgeon if you have a preference one way or the other.
