Most likely arthriti: Constant pain in the knee is sign of establish problem in that joint, most common some form of arthritis or stiffness sequence to injury.

Several causes: You did not provide specifics but generally knee pain may be secondary to arthritis, tendinitis or bursitis. Have a doctor take a look and have the knee x rayed.
