Not really: Allergy skin tests currently are performed using sterile, plastic, applicators (not needles) that just puncture the skin at a mild depth. No blood. Typically 8 tests can be placed in 2 seconds using multitest device and the answer is available in 15-20 minutes. The new multi-test PC (pain control) has even less uncomfortable feeling; my experience is that it works great for children and adults.
