Vasomotor rhinitis: Vasomotor rhinitis is the old term for non-allergic, non-infectious rhinitis. So it is not allergies and not infections, but runny stuffy nose triggered by irritants such as temperature change, weather, smoke, perfume, etc. Avoidance is best, but not always practical. Topical nasal steroid sprays, the anticholinergic nasal spray atrovent nasal as well as astelin/astepro may all help.
