Regular vs Irregular: A-fib is very irregular conduction to the ventricles whereas a-flutter is more regular conduction. The p-waves on ekg during flutter are characteristric in appearance looking sawtooth whereas in a-fib, they are sometimes very hard to find. The right atrium is where the sa node generates the impulse for conduction. In the case of a-fib/flutter, other heart tissue is also conducting very fast.
