A member asked:

What is the difference between endometriosis and endometrisis? and what treatment is available?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Issue: I think you mean endometriosis and endometritis? Endometritis is an infection of the lining of the uterus and often times responds to antibiotics. Endometriosis is a chronic condition where endometrial tissue is found outside of the uterine lining. It is treated with surgery, lupron (leuprolide) and birth control as well as a few other options.
