I have had a heartbeat of 155 for the last 8 hours. will this damage my heart? i do not have chest pain, nausea etc. just the rapid heartbeat.

HR Too high: Need to get evaluated so determine etiology. Hr that high can lead to significant but usually reversible problems. Don't delay.

Potential: At your age a heartbeat that high for so long is most like a supraventricular arrhythmia. The risk for heart damage somewhat depends on if you have existing heart disease. Either way the risk is that your heart rhythm could covert to more dangerous rhythms and cause other complications. Would go to the er immediately.
