Long term sequelae: Tbi (traumatic brain injury) may have sequelae several years after the injury. The greater the severity of the injury, the more likely the sequelae. Post-traumatic hydrocephalus or normal pressure hydrocephalus may occur years after the injury. Chronic fluid collections outside of the brain (subdural hematomas) may also occur. Further work-up by your physician may include additional studies (mri).
