Let me explain: Trans fats, hydrogenated, partially-hydrogenated oils margarine fried foods saturated fats . Those kind of food you have to avoid when you gallstones. Interestingly, the body does not produce its own omega-3 fatty acids. Nor can the body make omega-3 fatty acids from omega-6 fatty acids so from that point i believe taking fish oil will be okay.

Possibly: As fish oil is composed of fat, & the gall bladder secretes stored bile to help in the breakdown of fat, if the gall stones interfere w the bile release, there could be pain & nausea.
