It's a combination..: Of 2 or more individual chemicals. Examples are hydrogen and oxygen to make water, sodium & chloride toile table salt. There are many more complicated compounds like Amino Acids that form proteins, sugars & carbohydrates, fats, and even combinations of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen & other chemicals like sulfur & nitrogen that are the basis of life itself.
