Methadone is narcoti: Methadone is actually a strong opioid narcotic. It is a very strong pain killer. It's used also to treat heroine addiction, but that requires a special license.

No: Ribavirin and pegylated interferon cause many many nasty symptoms, but pain is not a prominent one of them, and there is no need for opioids. I have treated over 1000 people who were getting this treatment, and i myself went through this treatment 7 years ago (and it was a success). No narcotics should be needed or used. If you are having severe pain, something else is causing it.
