See a psychologist: Actually, cracking your back, like cracking your knuckles, is the release of the vacuum that we have in our joint spaces. As far as anybody knows, it doesn't have any long-term effects like arthritis or joint deformities. I have had patients do this for decades (one for 50 years) without any problems.
