See eye doc: There are many inherited eye conditions. Many are treatable and some are not. Best to see eye doc to get diagnosis and treatment.

Yes it can be: Very strong eyeglass prescriptions, such as high myopia (nearsightedness) often runs in families. But the exact genetic connection is still not fully worked out.
