Depends ....: A laceration needs to be addressed relatively quickly. If it has been less than 24 hours since the cut then it can b cleaned and closed with stitches or something similar. If it is beyond that time frame then it is in danger of becoming infected. It needs to be kept clean and monitored for signs of infection.
