A member asked:

Can adding a little bit of salt to your water help when recovering from dehydration?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A little salt....: You are right. Generally fluids with a little salt and a little sugar "stick to the bloodstream" more effecively. We often recommend popsicles, chicken broth, jello or jello "water, " or pedialyte to help replenish fluids. You'll know you've hit the target when you aren't thirsty and your urine looks like water, i.e., not concentrated. Good luck. Lgromkomd.
