Does having intercourse prior to taking a pregnancy test affect the results?

No: No, urine pregnancy tests rely on a chemical - HCG - which is present only with a developing baby. Nothing in semen or sperm should affect the test.

No: A pregnancy test (on urine) measures the presence of HCG (human choriionic gonadotropin) in the urine that is present because of pregnancy. It is not a measure of semen or of anything in the vagina of anything to do with the immediate act of intercourse.
