A member asked:

How many weeks after intercourse is enough to take pregnancy blood test? is the result of that is accurate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

~2 weeks: It takes time for the sperm to seek out/find the egg. It takes more time for that egg/sperm complex to create a tissue mass that makes its way to the womb & attach. It then must make enough hormones to enter the blood & turn urine or blood tests positive. Two weeks is about the earliest you would expect to see a positive.
