Maybe. : I have patients that take lortab (has 500 mg of acetominophen in each tab) 4 times a day....So a 5th tablet will be likely ok. Taking 2500 all at once is not recommended......If the pain is that bad, go see your doctor. Your liver needs to be monitored if you are taking acetominophen at this dosage.

Depends: On your age, how well your liver is functioning, and if you are allergic. Even if you are a health adult i would not take 1000 mg of acetaminophen, drink alcohol and eat raw oysters. That has been a lethal combination for some. Otherwise, Acetaminophen is given 650 mg to reduce fever and 1000mg to reduce pain. Maximum daily dose for an adult is a total of 4000gm/day total, so can take 1000mg/8h.
