A member asked:

Why does it seem like using make up actually helps my acne?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perhaps?: Certainly, there are make up products that actually clog the pores and worsen acne. They are actually comedogenic. So assuming that you are using a non-comedogenic make up, it could help your acne, if, for ex, it prevents you from picking your acne which could worsen acne. Besides that, make up products do not confer direct advantage for acne, but they can mask their appearance and help that way.
