Anti-inflammatories: The pain of menstrual cramps and the body aches from flu can both be improved with over the counter anti-inflammatory medications such as advil, Motrin (ibuprofen) or aleve (naproxen). Don't take them if you're allergic to them, you might be pregnant, or if you have ulcers, and always eat with them. See your doctor if you develop fever or if the meds don't help.
