Depends on your risk: If you have had abnormal liver function tests, or if you have had exposure to hepatitis c through sexual behavior or IV drug use, you should certainly be tested. Did you know that the center for disease control is now recommending routine hepc testing for baby boomers? Lgromkomd.

Maybe: It never hurts to be tested, and it's indicated if you have elevated liver enzymes or risk factors (injections drug use or unprotected receptive anal sex.) as a routine test it's also recommended in baby boomers, buy don't meet that criterion. If none of these thing applies to you, it's not a recommended test, but it wouldn't be wrong to get checked anyway, since we now have good treatment.
