A member asked:

I recently had a hep panel done, and all results said negative except the hep c ab result, showed 0.2 with a range next to it of 0.0-.8 etc. is this a negative result, or does this mean i am infected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Based on the reference range of the laboratory, your reading of 0.2 is a negative result. You may repeat the test in 6 months or so or get a HCV nucleic acid test, though neither is necessary. Wish you good health!
