What is it like to have an endoscopy? side effects? pain? anything else i should know? it's an upper endoscopy.

Usually: You have mild sedation for the procedure and a numbing spray for the back of your throat. Otherwise you shouldn't feel anything. After, your throat may be a a little sore but you should not have any true pain especially if no biopsies were done.
