Had a staph wound (hole) 10 days ago & was healing, looking normal again but now i see a red spot where the hole was. is itnormal or recurring staph?

Wound healing: This could possibly be a recurrence of infection especially if you have had an increase in pain, drainage, and/or fevers. It could also be in growth of normal tissue as part of the healing process. You should follow up with your treating physician to determine how the wound is healing.

cause of red spot: The red spot may simply be the inflammation of healing in that area. Healing can take weeks to months to be complete. If the skin is still over the site and there is no evidence of deep tissue injury, then recurrence of infection is unlikely. I would simply observe it and see over the next several days.
