Prostate: Generally the size of the prostate is not as significant as the presence of obstructive or irritative voiding symptoms. These can occur with various prostate sizes. Alpha blocker drugs improve symptoms by relaxing the prostate and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors work by shrinking the prostate.
