A member asked:

Can bouts of nearly involuntary forced exhalation in chronic sinusitis through right nostril relieved by nasonex or benadryl (diphenhydramine) lead to copd if untreated?

No: There is no relationship between forceful nasal exhalation from chronic sinusitis and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.).

Not really: COPD stands for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and refers to the build up of scar tissue in the smaller airways of the lung. This scar tissue decreases the lungs ability to expand and contract and therefore the ability to move air and breathe.
