A member asked:

Is being in the sun good or bad for your skin and health in general?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

We were designed: To live "under the sun". Tanning is a natural mechanism that protects you if you fo it slowly and avoid burning. Uvl causes the skin to synthesize vitamin d and that is why vit d deficiency is widespread in the northern hemisphere because we have been brainwashed that the sun is dangerous. It is all part of a general health problem that involves diet, exercise and appropriate rest.
