Stress fracture: There will still be signs of of a stress fracture even after the area has healed for some time.

Stress Fracture: It's hard to say for sure. If your doctor suspected the injury, and placed you in walking boot, cast, etc your pain will often improve or resolve. The MRI would at least confirm that you have been diagnosed correctly, and are receiving the correct treatment. It could show no issue, or it may find another reason for your pain that may need a different treatment.

Yes, possible.: If there is a fracture it will show up on the mri.
