Several things: Anal irritation can be from many things. Simple proctitis can be from poor hygiene. One can have parasites (worms) that cause irritation, hemorrhoids both intrernal and external, prolapse of the rectum will cause this. There are inflammatory bowel disorders to cause this. An anal fissure (tear) can do this. Constipation can cause this as well as diarrhea. If worrisome, see pcp.

See your doctor: Could be hemorrhoids,irritation from wiping too hard, or not cleaning well enough, infection, a fissure.......so see your doctor to determine the cause.
