Wrong Dx?: I'd be curious to know how you know you have rmsf. It's not resistant to tetracycline or doxycycline, so if those medications haven't helped, you may not have rmsf.

Are you sure?: Did the anitbody titer come positive? RMSF is easily killed with Doxy. If treated late, RMSF can create a variety of problems with different organ systems, perhaps due to small vessel vasculities. Not enough is known about persistent symptoms among the untreated.
