A member asked:

As a doctor, do you get frustrated with patients who show anxiety about their health, and see you often? also why/why not?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is our job!: Of course we get frustrated. My rule is never show it. We are human and react as humans, but we must take care of people, and anxiety is a very real disorder. It makes it difficult to explain again and again and still not get through. I remind myself of how much suffering the patient feels and i continue to explain as much as possible. Psychiatric therapy and meds can help and should be pursued!
