Miscarry or False +: The first test could have been false positive and the blood test shows you were not pregnant. It is also possible that you had a very early or "chemical pregnancy"and then subsequently miscarried and are no longer pregnant.

Hi I had a question I actually missed my period for 5 days the first day the period didn't show up I took a hpt and it was negative . the 6th day of missed period I started spotting, and it has been only very very light amont of blood for going on 4days .
My period has been almost a week late. I took multiple at hpt and also did a blood test they all came out negative. I have been having mild cramps these past couple of days but no period just spotting. What could be the cause?
Spotting instead of normal scheduled period 7days. Few x's more blood but not much. No other symptoms. Neg hpt. Husband fixed. Perimenopause? 42 yrs.
