Let a pro do it: Removing stitches isn't rocket science, although sometimes can be harder if there are scabs or hidden stitch. However, having them removed by a medical professional allows them to make sure the wound is healing well, & that surrounding tissue doesn't get injured in the process. Shouldn't be any charge if removed by same provider that put them in.

Agree w Dr Topliff: Having a health professional remove your sutures allows them to insure that the wound has healed properly & shows no signs of infection. They will also know what to do if a suture is not coming out easily and have sterile equipment.
