Cracking joints: Often are due to some mild instability inside of joints, and some gas bubbles escaping from the joint fluid leads to the cracking (like cracking your knuckles in your hands). Sometims, tendons can rub over a bony prominence or eachother (or over the joint capsule) and that can also be the cause. There is no evidence that under normal load, cracking is destructive.
