A member asked:

What does putting drop or two of solution on the lens before inserting do? does it really help?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helps comfort: The addition of some solution will allow the lens to easily 'float' onto the eye. It can also help keep the lens stable until it settles in. It does insure against the lens being too dry. If your tear flow is low it will also help. Many find that tear supplements during the wearing of a lens is also useful.
