Orthodontics: Overbites tend to be either caused by skeletal discrepancies of the jaws, the relationship of the upper to the lower teeth, the size of the teeth relative to the size of the jaws, or all three. The best way to correct any of these is with orthodontics. Ina small number of situations surgery may need to be considered but for most, treatment wit braces will be sufficient.
