Chest tightness?: Honestly, chest soreness made worse by smoking sounds like asthma in a28 year old... But talk to your doc. A normal chest x-ray doesn't mean much, your exam and pulmonary function tests would be more interesting, as well as the history of your symptom progression.

Smoking cessation: California and the American Lung Association have programs to help you quite smoking. Smoking can affect your health for decades, and quitting is encouraged. Regarding your lung and back pain, there may be inflammation around the lung, reactivity of your airways to smoke. Changes on chest radiograph may take years to develop. Pulmonary function testing pre and post bronchodilator is advised.
