SEE your DDS & MD: Tmj problems only get worse if not treated. See your dentist for an evaluation and treatment plan. Your dentist may refer you to a physician (possibly a dermotologist) to evaluate the growth - they may biopsy the growth.

See your dentist: Some patients have popping or clicking the the tmjs without any pain. If pain or dysfunction of the TMJ is present, then treatment or therapy should be considered. The pea size growth in front of the ear should be evaluated by your dentist.

Joint dysfunction: Your left TMJ likely has medial (to the midline) displacement of the cartilage disc. This allows the joint to be further up in the socket, hence the jaw shift. The noise is the cartilage disc snapping back into place when opening. Without examination the growth cannot be commented on, so a visit to dentist or dermatologist is warranted.
