More exams needed: Neuralgia is a condition that the nerve fibers are inflamed or infected with a viral condition that can cause numbness in your face. By your description it is the trigeminal nerve affected, that enervates that area of your face. I suggest you see a neurologyst for further testing and proper diagnosis.

See ENT physician: The symptoms describe the distribution of the 5th cranial nerve...The trigeminal. It is one of the twelve pairs of cranial nerves that exit directly from the brain. This needs to be evaluated by a physician familiar with this area of the anatomy. See an md and describe the symptoms as you have stated them.
