Restricted motion : Tarsal bones are bones in the back of the foot. In tarsal coalition abnormal connection develops between two tarsal bones. This abnormal connection, which can be composed of bone, cartilage, or fibrous tissue, can lead to limited range of motion and pain. The symptoms do not occur until the bone are ossified. The two most common types are the calcaneonavicular and talocalcaneal coalitions.
