my friend has cirrhosis of the liver and is in a lot of pain. she has an allergy to morphine. what are her alternatives?

Dr. Nayla Mumneh

Hives?: Reactions to morphine vary, a number of individuals become itchy or break out in hives from narcotics. If there are no other alternatives, her doctor can give her antihistamines and steroids with it to dampen the reaction.
