What could a burning sensation in the ankle mean. no injury although to me it feels like ice to my skin.

Neuropathy: Some type of neuropathy or irritation to nerve. Diabetes, alcohol, b12, Folic Acid all considerations. Heavy metal exposure needs to be considered.

Episodes of redness, burning sensation, numbness and vein swelling in my feet, ankles, and sometimes hands at night or when standing. The skin itself is not cracked or dry. Socks, shoes and hot shower makes worse. Elevating feet helps. Any ideas?
