Many possibilities: The pulse is not going to be different in the neck from anywhere else in the body, but it may be more noticeable to you there. The pulse can race for many different reasons, but if you have any symptoms with it they can help to tell what's going on. If you are short of breath or having any chest pain or pressure with it, then you need to prioritize seeing your doctor.

I guess that u: Understand that if it is fast in the neck it means the heart is beating fast, perhaps you feel it more in the neck. Check to see if it's really fast or your just noticing it. 150 beats is an important number in that it can be a heart coduction issue very commen, called supra ventricular tachycardia.
