Why when i workout, i get a sharp pain in my right side under the rib cage then a sharp shooting pain from that area to my right shoulder blade?

Options: This could be muscle spasm, neck problem, shoulder problem, or even a spinal disc pushing in a nerve when you lift heavy things. I would suggest anti inflammatories, rest , lower wring the intensity of your work out. If it does not improve, see a pt or your doctor for better eval.
