Normal: With preg. The bladder capacity is freq less and going over the capacity can be uncomfortable. The bladder when you are ready to void does a number of things all at once. Urethra, (tube to outside) has to relax as the bladder contracts to empty. If bladder is trying to tell you to empty but urethra says hold it, ouch! answer is usually void more and restrict fluids at bedtime.

Ask your OB: Urethra mucosa could be irritated or you could have a cut or abraision or small tear, or urethritis as that would not show upo sometimes on a u/a but a culture of teh urethra can be done to r/o infection, a urologist can examine it if necessary.
