Referral to a specia: If you have not done so as of yet, it sounds as if your son should be evaluated by an ENT as well as an allergist. Especially id both ears are affected and impacts his hearing, tympanostomy tubes might be a consideration. Other, environmental issues--such as exposure to cigarette smoke, dry air, animals, rugs may contribute also.
