Possible treatments: LYSTEDA (Tranexamic Acid) reduces menstrual and may help menstrual cramps. Birth control pills are more commonly used first to reduce menstrual flow and menstrual pain. They are often quite effective. There are other hormonal methods as well, such as the vaginal ring, patch, DEPO PROVERA injections and an IUD.
