Depends --: It would depend on the method of repair -- whether is it percutaneous meaning using a catheter base repair or open heart repair which would certainly requires more time (up to 3 months) to recover fully -.

It depends: Most patients undergoing vsd repair are young children who recover very quickly and are typically discharged from the hospital in less than one week with full recovery in 1-2 months. Older patients will recover more slowly.
