Are bedbugs visible to the naked eye?

Yes: Adult bedbugs are about 4–5 mm (1/6 of an inch) and 1.5–3 mm (1/16 to 1/8 of an inch) wide. Newly hatched bugs (nymphs) are translucent, lighter in color and become browner with age. They hide in crevices, along fabric seams, so can be hard to find.
